Choreographer and Judges
Choreographer: Ms. Christie
Ms. Christie started dancing at the age of three years old. In the past 31 years she has taught dance and choreographed professionally in the Bay Area and performed with three professional dance companies. Ms. Christie has her own dance production annually at the Performing Arts center in San Ramon and has taught for Contra Costa Ballet Company.
Our esteemed judge has choreographed for Two Olympic Synchronized Swimming teams (that did take gold medals), Professional cheerleaders (Raiderettes and the Kings), singers and bodybuilders. She has performed for the USO, Jerry Lewis Telathon and many theatre productions and musicals.
She is honored and excited to be participating in DWSS and very proud to support the Foundation in their efforts to build a new Family Medical Center and Women’s Health Center in Angels Camp. As a cancer survivor she is very supportive of women’s health issues.
JUDGE #1: Lynette Borrelli
Lynette performed in the Stage/Film/TV Industry as an actor/director/dancer for many years in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
She has done many shows on the Fallon House stage with Columbia Actor's Repertory - Hello Dolly and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to name a few.
Lynette has worked as an assistant casting director for Bernard Telseys NY agency and helped cast the movie version of RENT
Highlighted stage roles include, Blanche from A Streetcar Named Desire, Madame Arcati from Blithe Spirit and Olivia from Twelfth Night.
She was the head of the Theatre Department at Merced College for a year and now a resident Theatre Professor/Director at Modesto Junior College.
JUDGE #2: Charles Mullins
Charles Mullins has been seen in numerous plays, musicals, and music reviews. His work has taken him to Sierra Repertory Theatre where he has appeared in featured roles such as Albert in The Secret Garden, a Quartet member in The Music Man, Roberts in The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and Sipos in She Loves Me. He has also appeared throughout the Central Valley where his favorite roles include The Baker in Roseville’s Magic Circle Repertory’s Into the Woods, Benny Southstreet in Modesto Performing Art’s Guys and Dolls, Hysterium in Modesto Civic Theatre’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Duke in Merced Centre for the Performing Art’s Big River.
Charles is a Speech Communication Faculty member at Modesto Junior College. He has also appeared in many shows there such as playing Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods, several roles in The Laramie Project, Barry Champlain in Talk Radio, and most recently as Justin in Stage Fright.
Mr. Mullins also has directorial credits at both MJC and Beyer High School in Modesto. At Beyer, he has directed The Actor’s Nightmare, Charley’s Aunt, You Can’t Take It with You, and The Odd Couple. At MJC, he has directed and appeared in Forum, Mr. Box and Mr. Cox, and A My Name is Alice and has assistant directed Durang Durang and The (Female) Odd Couple with Dr. Jim Johnson.
JUDGE #3: Allen Arnold
Allen has been an artist and celebrity stylist for over 14 years, and has been doing hair for the past four years in Calaveras County where he opened his own salon in San Andreas, Allen Arnold Hair Design & Spa in October of 2009.
He enjoys traveling both locally and outside of the surrounding area and entertaining family and friends through comedy and laughter.
Allen is dedicated to making a difference in the hair/cosmetology industry through education and training in Calaveras County . He has mentored San Andreas Beauty School students through hands-on training to inspire and motivate todays up and coming local stylist who want to succeed in this field. He has mentored over 900 students in the past year in the art of cut, color and finished styling.
A "semi" retired dancer/entertainer from Humboldt County, he has been involved in dancing and theater since the age of 6, and danced last year in Dancing with the Sierra Stars. Allen is looking forward to bringing his artistic talents to this year's event as a judge.
